Prior to October 1986, 10 mile events were held for October 1981, 1982, 1983 and a 5 mile/10 mile events were held for October 1984, 1985.

Due to the considerable increase of Sunday morning traffic, the October 1995 Croydon 10k was postponed to April 1996 and a revised course route was created. (Letter notifying Postponement).

Ever since then, we have held a biannual Croydon 10k in April and October.

For October 2006 event, the race Start and Finish location had to be moved from Lloyd Park Avenue to the back of Lloyd Park - Mapledale Avenue Park Gate.

Sadly there was no April 2007 Event.
